How it works

Three steps for you. Fourteen stages for us.

From where you sit, ListedReel is an upload and a download. Underneath, one video is fourteen distinct stages — because the difference between a slideshow and a film is all the work nobody wants to do.

Your side

What you actually do.

No prompts, no timeline, no settings screen. Auto mode runs start to finish without asking you anything.

2

We plan and film

ListedReel surveys the home, casts every photo into a shot list, and films each room with calm, contained camera moves — checked back against your photos.

Our side

The fourteen stages, in order.

This is the actual sequence the render worker runs. We publish it because most tools in this category are a photo slideshow with a zoom effect, and the difference is only visible if you can see the work.

  1. 01

    Intake

Your photos are normalised, de-duplicated, and checked for size. Anything under 1000px on the short side gets upscaled before it's allowed near a shot plan.

  2. 02

    Survey

We look at the whole set at once to work out what the property actually is — how many rooms, which frames are exteriors, where the light is coming from.

  3. 03

    Prep

Frames are prepared for generation: crops chosen, aspect handled, and the shots that can't carry motion are set aside rather than forced.

  4. 04

    Deep read

Each photo is read individually — room type, depth, what the camera could plausibly do from that vantage point without inventing geometry.

  5. 05

    Chain scout

We find the frames that connect: pairs where a camera could believably move from one room into the next, so the film has continuity instead of cuts between strangers.

  6. 06

    Cast

The shot list is written. Hook, arrival, reveal, two hero moves, body shots, a macro detail, a breather — each role cast to the photo that can carry it.

  7. 07

    Beats

The standard shots are generated: contained camera moves, roughly two seconds each, three for heroes.

  8. 08

    Reveal

The walk-in reveal — the shot that opens the house up. A manual-mode special (coming to Pro and Max): it runs behind its own gate, and falls back to a standard beat rather than shipping a bad one. Auto mode keeps every cut calm and skips it.

  9. 09

    Chain

The room-to-room transition, generated behind a handoff gate that checks the two ends actually belong to the same house. Also a manual-mode special — auto mode cuts, it doesn't glide.

  10. 10

    Dusk

The golden-hour close, anchored in two steps so the house keeps its shape while the light changes — behind a brightness gate, in manual mode.

  11. 11

    Audit

Every clip's end frame is matched back into its source photo. A camera that travelled out of your room into an invented one is caught and the clip is reshot once, on a locked recipe that can't wander.

  12. 12

    Assemble

The surviving clips are ordered and concatenated into one master, exactly as generated — no re-encoding pass to soften them. Orphaned shots are dropped rather than padded around.

  13. 13

    Brand

The watermark goes on — the ListedReel wordmark, or your own logo on Max, where a branded end slide with your contact details can follow the film.

  14. 14

    Publish

The finished 1080p MP4 lands in your dashboard, ready to download.

Straight answers

What this pipeline does not do.

  • No presenter, avatar or narration. Nobody is put on camera and no voice is synthesised. The film is the property.
  • No vertical output. One landscape master, built for the MLS, YouTube, listing pages and email.
  • No clip review, yet. Every plan runs auto mode today. Manual mode — draft previews and per-clip reshoots — is in development for Pro and Max.
  • No stock footage. Every frame in the film traces back to a photo you uploaded.

Run one listing through it and judge the output.

Your first video is free. No card, no countdown — and the MP4 is yours whether or not you come back.
